This October, Sara had the chance to choreograph and dance in Singer and songwriter Toria Anna (of Drawn Tide) new video Wild Ocean. This breathtaking track will be released this December. Watch this space.

A multidimensional dance piece bringing to light the emotional aftermath of trauma and the fundamental similarities, adversity, and redefinitions of human connection 

through movement. 

Commissioned by Meninadanca Charity and toured (UK) Autumn 2019.

Working alongside Scatter Dance Company and commissioned by The Place London, (Non)Conforming Organisms Inspired by Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” We explore what it means to not conform to evolving and uncertain structures but remain grounded in an immovable and unshakeable power.
 

Working alongsideCurve Creative Dance Company as Artistic Director, this contemporary dance company in association with Buckinghamshire New University had the opportunity to create and perform two brand new productions (Roads Untravelled and Waiting Here) at venues and national events such as 

Move IT (Excel Centre), Wycombe Swan Theatre, Review Care Home.
 

A Dance Umbrella Commission, Sara worked with Girls in Front is a bespoke dance program for girls based in Croydon aged 11 to 18.The Cosmos was performed as Dance Festival Croydon, Curated by Beeja, presented as a part of Dance Umbrella’s Fairfield Takeover at Fairfield Halls.
 

Journey’s is a site-sensitive cross-cultural

dance piece exploring the history and changing demographics of cities within the UK.

The very early research and development journeys were conducted as part of an IGNiTE residency with Trinity Centre, Bristol in 2017. ​Performed as part of Collabo Bristol 2018.

Frontline is a social narrative dance piece that exposes the reality of human trafficking and child prostitution worldwide. Inspired by true stories Frontline walks the audience through four individual stories of women.
 

Commissioned by Unveiling Festival, A Fathers Love explores the relationship between a father and his children; based on 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 we uncovered what it means to be loved unconditionally without fear of judgment, control or shame
 

'Missing Her' is a dance piece created on Brazilian dance Company Das Los Grupo De Dança. The piece explores Grief, Love and Loose. Following Sara's international Exchange Program in 2016 Missing her was created and premiered in Goiânia-Brazil June 2017. 
 

Sara Dos Santos was the proud Artistic Director of East London Dance during 2015-2017. She worked with young people aged 14-18 to develop their technique, performance skills and create high-quality bespoke choreography that was performed at platforms such as U.Dance, Movie It and Physical Justice at Stratford Circus.
