As one of the seven recipients of the Agents of Change award from the Artistic Directors of the Future (ADF), I to continue exploring leading nation-wide research of the boundaries and barriers for black women working in the cultural sector.

As a public servant, I've led a wide range of programmes spanning placemaking, cost-of-living interventions, civic engagement, and public realm initiatives. My experience includes hard skills such as fund development, programme management, governance, policy delivery, stakeholder engagement, and grant management.

Artistic Director of Curve Creative Dance Company
As Artistic Director of Curve Creative Dance Company (2017-2018), I played a key role in shaping the company’s development, working alongside emerging artists to explore contemporary dance in innovative ways. I championed artistic growth, fostering a collaborative and accessible environment. Through inclusive practices, I created space for dancers to experiment, evolve, and develop a collective creative identity.

English National Ballet (ENB) Ballet Club gives young people the chance to work with professional artists, develop their dance skills, and gain confidence in contributing their artistic voice to co-created work.

British Council - Fund Assessor
As a fund assessor, my role involved evaluating and shortlisting new and exciting international projects across Creative Technology, Dance, Film, Literature, Music, Theatre, and multidisciplinary arts. I provided detailed assessments to support funding decisions, ensuring projects demonstrated artistic excellence, innovation, and potential for meaningful cultural impact.

Artstic Director of East London Youth Dance Company
As Artistic Director at East London Dance (2015-2017), I worked alongside young people aged 14–18 to develop a range of interpersonal skills, dance techniques, and soft skills to not only grow as dancers, but also to develop future life skills. As a leader guided the creation of original choreography that amplified their voices and experiences; our work was showcased on celebrated stages, including U.Dance, Move It, and Physical Justice at Stratford Circus.
